Alcohol saves the economy

In a time when the recession is causing so much drama, I have never seen a bar as full as I do now. And rightfully so. Everybody is so worried about their money right now that they drink it away, literally.

The other day a bunch of "Jehovas Witnesses" came into the bar and were yelling in the bar, before security could cart them back to their pearly white gates, that we shouldnt drink, it will kill our livers. We are killing our body and we should not support the liquor industry.

And then I got to thinking as I started to drink....

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.

We cant be selfish now, can we?

And then I get jealous of those Jehova's Witnesses. I wish I could hear those voices too. Might be able to get them to drink.

  1. I'm a bit surprised that the economy has been filling up the bars, although it does make sense now that I think about it. I figured more people would stay away from spending money. Hilarious end to your article, by the way. I'm glad you care about the brewery workers hopes and dreams. :)

I just wrote a post about bar magic tricks that I thought you and your readers might be interested in if you want to check it out too.

  2. We all have to do our part in this world! If somebody has to drink the beer, I will take it upon myself!
