Patience is not my virtue

Hello all,

Its 4 am and just came back from work.

Tonight was one of those nights were it is proven to me that I dont have patience for people that waste my time. ESPECIALLY when the music is blasting soo loud that my ears are still vibrating.

Friday, block party night. Loud music, lots of people, lots of LOCAL people, meaning lots of cheap and difficult people.

I have a word of advice, if you can spend a minute YELLING at the top of your lungs to get my attention, please have the decency to already know what the fuck you want to drink. Dont start to contemplate after you throw ice at me and call me a bitch to come over.

And PLEASE, PLEASE, have your money READY once I give you the drink. You've wasted both my time and your own time.

I come from an island where Hennessy and redbull rule the world. I'll be dreaming of Hennessy tonight.

I did have some comedic relief though. Two of the most overweight people I have ever seen, violently bumping and grinding into each other, knocking over one of the speakers. It made me forget all the bullshit and put a smile on my face.

On a brighter note, I think i am giving up VCR's (Vodka, cranberry redbull) for a while. Keeps me up.

This was the bitchy rant of the friday night.

Happy Hour begins.....

Hello All,

So I have finally given into the pressures of the World Wide Web and decided to combine my two loves; Bartending & Writing. And the end result: BLOGGING!

So lets start with a little introduction:

My name is Stephanie and I am a bartender that lives and works on an island in the Caribbean.

I have been in the restaurant/bar/alcohol industry for the past 6 years and hope to be for a few more decades. In this time I have experienced my fair share of humorous, irritating and downright idiotic moments. These experiences have garnered great laughs and that have entertained own bartending buddies after work over our own round of drinks and shots until the wee hours of the morning.

I will be using this blog to humour you guys as well, and also to vent about the not-so-pleasant moments of my job. Naturally this blog will also be used to post jokes, cocktail recipes, and tips for the wannabe bartender and all the other hoopla that comes with the job.

So sit back, grab a martini and brace yourself for the insanity that is about to ensue.
